One + One This restaurant bar in New York's East Village promises a gourmet, traditional Irish menu with "the best fish and chips this side of the Atlantic." The previous business in this space, on the corner of First Street and First Avenue caught fire and stayed empty for years until One + One opened its doors in the spring of 1998. The tattooed patrons feel right at home with the Gallic inspired icons throughout the room. Flame red walls and tall church candles breathe new life into this long neglected and once ash filled room.
